Security Data Pipeline

The collection, parsing, mapping, enrichment, filtering, and delivery work that turns IBM i and enterprise telemetry into usable SIEM data.

Definition

A security data pipeline is everything between an IBM i event source and the platform that detects or investigates it. The pipeline collects the record, parses its structure, maps fields, adds identity or asset context, filters or routes it, and delivers it to the SIEM.

For IBM i, pipeline design is where QAUDJRN entry types, QHST messages, user profiles, libraries, objects, jobs, timestamps, and business ownership either keep their meaning or lose it. Pipeline health should be monitored as part of security coverage because a silent forwarding failure creates a blind spot.
