About AS400 Software AI

What AS400 Software AI is, how the AI-assisted editorial process works, and how it relates to BigTechReseller.

A Curated Intelligence Platform, Not a Directory

AS400 Software AI is an AI-powered software intelligence platform for the IBM Power ecosystem. Our mission is not to build another software directory.

Our mission is to continuously discover, evaluate, organize, and recommend the best IBM Power software solutions using AI-assisted research and human editorial expertise. We don't list everything. We surface what matters.

How AI and Editorial Judgment Work Together

AI is our intelligence engine. It continuously helps us discover products, monitor vendors, analyze releases, compare solutions, organize information, summarize research, identify trends, and accelerate publishing.

Human expertise provides the editorial judgment. AI provides the speed.

We do not claim to be vendor neutral. We openly recommend software we believe deserves attention. Our goal is not equal representation ... it is helping IBM Power professionals find better solutions faster. Recommendations are based on editorial review supported by AI-assisted research, and commercial participation never guarantees editorial recommendation.

How It Connects to BigTechReseller

AS400 Software AI answers one question first ... what software should I evaluate?

BigTechReseller answers the next one ... which partner, reseller, consultant, or vendor-aligned specialist should I talk to once I understand the category?

That separation keeps our software intelligence independent while still supporting partner discovery when software decisions need outside help.

What You Will Find Here

The site is structured to grow into a complete IBM Power software intelligence resource.

  • Curated software category guides and comparison planning
  • Buyer guides, vendor rankings, and market trend reports
  • Glossary terms for IBM i software language and planning concepts
  • FAQ pages for recurring evaluation questions
  • Editorial vendor profiles that connect into the BigTechReseller ecosystem

How We Score and Rank Vendors

When we publish a shortlist or ranking, we score vendors against the same weighted criteria every time: IBM i specialization, fit for the defined use case, deployment flexibility, operational depth and manageability, migration and implementation support, security and compliance evidence, and documentation and buyer clarity.

We score only what the evidence supports and mark anything we cannot verify as not verified rather than guessing. Vendor claims count as evidence of an offered capability, not proof of superiority. Paid placement cannot change an editorial score, and we disclose when a vendor holds Discovery Partner or Founder Partner status. Rankings are re-scored after major releases, acquisitions, discontinuations, material support or pricing changes, serious security events, or at minimum every six months.

We never publish a "best" claim without naming the use case it applies to.
